Welcome to Back Yard Club 2021 everyone!
I love to snatch pictures through the day and give parents a peek at what their kids are up to.
Here's a little look at today!
Every day we start with stories and songs and then move into 45 minutes of free-choice art time. We always have easels set up with paints, crayons, and chalk drawing. We also have 4 other projects that change every day. Today's choices were:
Marble painting
Medallion necklaces
Paper bag puppets
Free play clay
(with emphasis on snakes and pancakes to prepare for tomorrow's clay project)
Little picture from snack time
After snack, we went on a bug walk and searched for bugs to draw in our mini books.
The kids hit the jackpot when we turned over this old log.
For folk dancing time we learned "Seven Jumps",
"The Chicken Dance",
and "Floating Down the River".
Looking forward to another day of fun tomorrow (and no road construction)!
