BYC 2022, week 2, Friday

Charlotte grabbed a couple cute pictures during a silly story this morning.

Today our art project choices were

Painting wall pockets
Bracelets with elastic string
Mini books with possible fingerprint art
Multi-media sculptures

Frank clipped himself up so he could dry with the artwork.

After art and snack we took a look at the variety of treasures in our nature centers.

We also had a bit of fun with singing with instruments and marching in our own parade.

Special thanks to Tyler who played his trombone!

After practicing our story with the scenery set up, we danced through the songs we learned this week.

I admit, I kind of cheat sometimes and use a French folk song, Les Salut, to dance with the May Pole, which is traditionally English. It's so simple, and circular it works great!

Last, is picnic time! Thank you for coming to our play--
we loved having all of the families here to share it with.

Have a wonderful summer and thank you for coming to Back Yard Club!

BYC 2022, week 2, Thursday

A quick peek into silly sleeping, waking up, and getting ready for school in Sleep Song.

 Today our art choices were

Marble painting
Nature weaving on small looms
Masks
Model Magic wall pockets

After art and snack we painted the scenery for our play and reviewed the story.

And...it's parachute day!

For folk dancing we did some traditional favorites:
Go In and Out the Windows, Floating Down the River, and The Farmer in the Dell.

See you tomorrow!
