This morning Michael showed the kids recorders of every size.
He accompanied "Say Hello" and "Goodbye See You Next Time."
Katie read a more obscure, fairytale, The Gunniwolf.
The kids were really into it!
Today's art choices were
Monoprints
Bracelets with wood beads
Paper plate eye masks
Model Magic (putty) coil pots
For our group activities we took a departure from nature walks.
First we played parachute games.
We made a bubble...
...shook around some "fishermen in boats" on a "stormy ocean"...
...popped the nerf balls into the air...
...and tickled the kids at the end!
Next we slowed down and did some water painting on the driveway.
(A fun and easy try-this-at-home idea!)
It's super fun when you're allowed to paint ANYTHING.
Next we took some time to paint the scenery for our play!
Be ready to see a giant cocoon and lots of fruits and leaves!
We ran through the play one more time and then sang goodbye with that enormous recorder!
