Week 1, Friday

Happy Friday, we're starting with smiles. :)

Today's projects included

Painting yesterday's coil pots
Group weaving on a loom
Popsicle stick puppets
Play dough

We always have nature books (nonfiction books) out for kids to peruse if they are done with projects early.  This really caught on today.

It was precious to see them enjoying this (totally unrequired!),
quiet book-ish time.

For our small group activity we, after inspiration from a book called Foodie Faces, made faces out of clay and natural elements. I had to grab a picture of each creation and the artists!

We danced "Hurry Scurry" today and reviewed our play!

We're ready for you!

Yesterday the kids painted the cocoon, free style leaves, and, fruits.  Then I did a bunch of cutting out and arranging to get the posters and leaf hula hoop ready.

Our teachers all painted part of the banner of foods that the caterpillars ate excessively!!

The kids did amazing and were the most darling butterflies I ever did see.  Thank you for coming to Back Yard Club, we loved getting to know your family.

A special shout out to our teachers who help everything flow smoothly with the kids and behind the scenes. They are amazing and so appreciated.

Aubrey, Charlotte, myself, Morgan, Eliza, Katie, and Grace
