Snack time
Next we went under the oak tree for a little lesson in bugs. We talked about how insects have three sections to their bodies...head, thorax, and abdomen. We practiced drawing several insects in their bug books.
They were so focused!
We divided into small groups and went for a buggy nature walk. We found beetles, moths, butterflies, dragonflies, fly flies, bees, ants, and a spider with its web and dinner trapped inside!
Next we had a water break, practiced our story for Friday, and danced!
We danced to "The Noble Duke of York" again and added a Swedish folk dance, "Hurry Scurry," nicknamed for the way it speeds up gradually and wears you out by the end! To finish, we brought out the chicken dance.
Hope you can hear it from the driveway when we sing the loud version!
See you tomorrow!
