Hi everyone!
We had a great first day of "art camp!"
Each morning we begin with stories and songs.
After that we have 45 minutes of free-choice art time.
Our easels are open every day for painting and drawing.
Today our other art choices were
Marble painting
Weaving with yarn on a loom
Paper sack puppets
Pinch pots
Check out the kiddos at work...
After snack we took a bug walk and drew the bugs we found in tiny bug books. We saw lots of moths, ants, a grasshopper, a bee, beetles, and even 2 cicada exoskeletons!
After a little water break we read the story The Gunniwolf...
you will get to see this acted out on Friday at the picnic!
Next we did some dancing! We did The Chicken Dance, London Bridge, and The Farmer in the Dell.
Most days we end with a song or story or two, but today we were too busy dancing!
Always a good problem to have. :)
