Week 2, Thursday

Good morning everyone!

Today we started off with some fun stories and songs.  If your kids want to talk about the book, "Bark George" you might be pretty entertained.  We also sang a song by a local artist, David Landau called "Sleep Song."  The first part is a lullaby, followed by the alarm clock to wake up the children!  Then we jump about as we get ready for school.  The funny thing is sometimes they are mistaken for squirrels, or kitties...then things get funny.

"We're not kitties!!!"

Today's art projects were

Yarn painting
Pony bead bracelets
Mosaics on black
Ooblick
(less art, more tactile experience!)

Heading over for art time...

Ooblick: is it a solid or a liquid!?

We always have nature books (nonfiction) out for kids to look at if they finish early.

For our group activity today we played some parachute games!

We bounced "boats" around on a stormy ocean,

popped them high in the sky,

made a bubble,

and tickled the kids!

Before dance and goodbyes we painted our scenery.  We've got ocean water, sand, a dark seaweed forest, and coral going. They were so focused and worked hard. You will likely find more paint on your child today!

We'll see you tomorrow for more fun and for our play!
