(These are a Native American craft created to thank the earth for its gifts. They are usually put upright in a garden but smaller ones might look nice hung from a tree.)

After art time we went on a scavenger hunt in two small groups.

We read Caps for Sale again today and practice all the lines the peddler and the monkeys repeat throughout the story.
Last, was folk dance time. We did Germany's Chicken Dance first.
Next, from Sweden, Seven Jumps. After skipping in a circle, this dance has us touching our knees, elbows, hands, and eventually hour heads on the ground!
Also a fun one from the US, Floating Down the River. This one has calm, flowing parts which are followed by lively jumping and clapping.
