Sawyer started us off all-smiles with a little creature brought from his back yard. Hello little toad!
A few days ago, Cameron and Harrison shared two caterpillars with us.
I love to see the kids excited about all the life in their own back yards. :)

At the easels we had markers, crayons, and chalk.
(No time to wait for paint and glue to dry on a Friday in this damp weather.)
Thanks to Charlotte, my 9 year old, for taking some great pictures during art time.
Blasting off again!
Inspired by our instrument playing yesterday, Michael and Tyler brought their own instruments to show the kids. They accompanied us to "Old MacDonald Had a Band." What a treat.
We took a nature walk and found little tiny treasures to keep in a window hanging.
Last, we practiced our play with the scenery we worked on yesterday! It looked great!
The kids painted brown and green poster paper and that night I cut them up and turned them into the monkey tree.
The kids don't often (ever?) do "coloring book" type art here, but boy did they love painting inside this village and countryside. They were so dedicated and deliberate, it was sweet to watch.
Finally, it was picnic time!
Welcome to our production of "Caps for Sale."
My husband was able to grab a few pictures this time around,
but based on what I saw in the audience, so were you. :) If anyone has a picture of the peddlers and monkeys "conversing" that you'd share, I'd love to get that in here too!
We had so much fun exploring, creating, singing, dancing, and playing with the children.
Thank you so much for participating in Back Yard Club. From all of us, have a wonderful summer!
Charlotte, Katie, Janica, Chloe, Eliza, Michael, Tyler
