Hello everyone!
We were dodging rain today and did our schedule somewhat in reverse order! And all-new locations.
For our story and song time we sang a crowd favorite, Sleep Song...in the garage.
Next we did folk dances...in the basement.
We danced Seven Jumps, per a request, The Noble Duke of York, Floating Down the River, and learned Jump Jim Joe. This one has two circles that rotate around each other so you can find a new partner. Pretty cool!
Sometimes we have a little one who prefers to observe the dance portion. :)
Speaking of observing, we have two chinchillas in the basement
and this fluff ball sure had her eyes on us!
Next we practiced our story outside.
After that we had snack and then headed over to the back for art time!
We used the tent for coverage during two really brief moments of rainfall.
Our project choices were:
monoprints
crowns
weaving on a loom
putty (free play or pinch pots)
Did I say yesterday that scenery mural painting was the messiest?....it could be up for debate.
Luckily "Mom" is the same as its mirror image! So this word is perfect for printing.
