Today's project choices were:
Bubble wrap prints
Nature sticks
Bean collages
Clay free play
(Nature Sticks are based on a Native American tradition. After decorated, you can stick them in the garden to thank the earth for its gifts. You'll notice one in my front yard near the frogs, close to the lawn.)
Charlotte is putting on a real show.
Some "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" before we take off for snack.
Today's group activity was a nature walk to observe and gather different shaped leaves. We noticed how some leaves had jagged edges and some smooth. Some leaves are in the shape of needles! And fern leaves are just plain beautiful.
We put some of our treasures together (some with added tissue paper) in a window hanging.
To end the day we danced and sang, "We're floating down the river," a favorite.
In the end, we're all jumping in the boat!
