Today Charlotte (my 7 year old) had her first opportunity to read to the kids!
Today's art choices were
object prints
books (binding and coloring)
bean collages
clay--wall pockets and free play
This is what happens when you take off like rockets for snack!
After art and snack time we took a nature walk and looked for tiny nature treasures! With the opportunity to pick little flowers and leaves, the kids made some really beautiful window hangings!
Also, on our nature walk a few kids got to see the frogs! Look for them on the edge of the water on your way in tomorrow morning. Also, a lot of us followed a beautiful butterfly along its path among the trees.
Some of the extra treasures made it onto our poster (see the front table in the morning)
and some made it....well...
Next we practiced learning the lines in "The Little Red Hen."
Last we did some folk dancing! We learned The Chicken Dance (thank you, Germany), and 7 Jumps, from Sweden. We enjoyed in a little Ring Around the Rosie as well! Ask your kid(s) how some cows and showed up in that song!
This is our first year with our very own BYC bags!
Or as my teenagers exclaimed, "We have merch!"
We hope you enjoy them!
