After a rained out Thursday we are back in business for a hot humid Friday of fun! :)
Today's projects
mono prints
weaving on individual looms
paper plate faces
salt dough
Today we talked about how natural things can leave a print in the mud or soil (plants, animal bones or foot prints) and even become fossilized over time. We looked at real fossils and took a walk around the yard finding deep hoof prints from deer in the mud. We then made our own "fossil" prints in clay with natural items found in the yard.
Aidan's quick eye also spotted a tiny frog int he grass! We all got to look at the little critter.
Today we also practiced our play and sang some silly camp songs!
To end our week we, of course, had our picnic and performance!
I'm so glad so many of you could make it with your families.
Thank you for having your child join us for the week! We had a wonderful time and truly enjoy helping them explore art, nature, and music in this playful environment.
