Today we switched things around to help manage the weather.
We began with stories (ask the kids if they remember how Raven put the sun in the sky) and songs, then moved to the basement for a nature activity. We read a spider story, learned how to draw a spider and a spider web with chalk, and played a spider web game. Watch out little flies, that spider will make you fall asleep and turn you into a "milkshake!"
The concentration on spider web drawing was precious.
Next we had snack. :)
When we hoped to go outside for project time, it was drizzling.
Drizzling does not count as "rain" in the forecast, but it does for art time! So we improvised and had two projects in the garage and two in the tent.
In the tent kids had time to play with salt dough and make a bean collage.
In the garage we made a lacing pocket (find a treasure or special note to put inside and hang it up!) and a bracelet.
Have a wonderful afternoon
and we look forward to some time playing and exploring outside tomorrow!
